This Christ-centered, balanced weight-loss and healthy living program has guided hundreds of thousands of people to a healthy lifestyle and a closer walk with the Lord.
Most people would like to be known as kind, gentle, loyal and loving, but many do not know that developing these traits is also the key to living a balanced life mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually! The Bible says that love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control are the fruit of the Spirit that grow in believers lives as they submit to Christ (see Gal, 5:19-23).
In this new Bible study, First Place 4 Health members will discover how growing the fruit of the Spirit will transform them into the whole and balanced creations God intends them to be.
Growing in the Fruit of the Spirit begins Monday, April 16 through July 9. Join us at 9:15 am or 6:15 pm (come and exercise with us 30 minutes before class). New members are welcome. Cost for the materials is $15.
Fitness Classes
Boot Camps provide a great way to achieve overall body fitness in a fun and challenging environment. The classes include exercises that increase muscle strength and fitness along with increasing heart and respiratory strength. General nutrition counseling is also provided. Camaraderie and accountability with fellow boot campers make the classes even more fun and effective. The results? Better endurance and overall strength, better posture and flexibility, more energy for daily tasks, better sleeping patterns, decreased mood swings, and new friendships. A certain amount of fitness is required as the classes are strenuous.
Core Strengthening Class has many benefits including: more functional workouts that translate into daily life activities, improved performance in sports, reduction in the risk of injury, better ability to function each day, interesting workouts that challenge you in new and different ways.
2012 class schedule:
Advanced Level Boot Camp: Tuesdays at 7:00 pm ($32)
Cardio and body weight fitness training at a higher level. Provides greater cardio fitness and muscle toning for those who are already fit. Requires ability to run, jump and do prolonged cardio and body weight resistance activities.
Core Strength: Saturdays at 7:30 am ($32)
Focuses on all levels of core muscle development. Ideal class for all athletes, from recreational athletes to performance athletes and habitual runners who want to improve output, improve strength and form, and decrease injury risk.
Advanced Boot Camp + Core: combo of both the above ($60)
