Parent Resources - March 2020

March 10, 2020 | Lyndsay Steward

WBK wants to help every kid become a fully devoted follower of Christ.  Our team of volunteers does an incredible job at this on Sundays and Wednesdays.  That being said, we believe that every parent is a disciple maker.  We want to encourage and equip you in this incredible responsibility!

ELEMENTARY RESOURCES

Now that you've had a chance to go through the book of Hebrews with Pastor Jon, study the book with your kids!  Older kiddos can go through this study on their own or you can do it together as a family!  Start with a goal of 1 night a week.  There's no rush!

Come by the resource table upstairs and drop your name in the jar for a chance to win this book!  If you want to purchase your own copy, click on the book.

We have been talking a lot about giving!

Did you know the Elementary kids sponsor a boy from Rwanda named Fabrice?  We have been encouraging the kids to bring in their own money to help support him.  Maybe your kids can do some extra chores to earn money.  If you don't have a system for 'give, spend, save', consider this bank system (available on Amazon, click item to purchase).  OR, make your own at home with empty mason jars, soup cans, pringles cans, etc!  Google 'DIY save, spend, share bank' and you will see lots of ideas.

The kids have enjoyed learning several new scripture songs.  Here are links to a few of their favorites from YouTube!

NURSERY/PRESCHOOL RESOURCES

Nursery-Toddler Resource: Jesus
Written for younger children to help develop a framework on theology of who Jesus is.  It is a great way to introduce conversations about the gospel at an early age!
Preschool & PreK Resource: The Garden The Curtain And The Cross
This is a beautiful book that retells the Easter Story through a bible overview.  Showing that 'because of our sin, we can't go in' but because of Jesus' victory on the cross, an even better garden awaits us...
